About CityView Sliding Window

The CityView Sliding window is the perfect choice for high end residential and commercial developments, offering flexibility and exceptional/high performance. Available in both single and double-glazing options, the CityView sliding window comes with a range of heavy-duty mullion options for tall framing and high wind areas.

Designed and engineered in Australia, the CityView sliding window has been tested and exceeds Australian standard AS2047.

Design Features:

Accepts glass thickness from 6mm-20mm
Open and Closed sill versions
Compatible with other Darley Aluminium Commercial and Residential Systems
Range of sub head and sub sill options
Range of heavy duty mullion options for tall framing and high wind areas
Unique design results in minimal tooling required
Window panels can slide internally or externally

Maximum panel weight 100kg
Maximum panel size 1800mm high x 1200mm wide subject to complying with the appropriate glazing standard and design wind load requirements.
Screening option available
Range of roller options to accommodate heavy panel weights
Pre-punched Sill requires no fabrication
Tested and approved by an independent NATA accredited laboratory
NFRC Energy rated

Under the Building Code of Australia, we are required to produce windows and doors that meet mandatory minimum specifications under Australian Standard (AS) 2047 – including AS1288.

Simulations of High Winds and Driving Rains

AS4420.2 Deflection Test – positive and negative wind pressures are applied to the face of the window to test the maximum deflection under wind load.
AS4420.5 Water Penetration Resistance Test – to verify that no water leaks through the window into the building.

Operating Force Requirement

AS4420.3 Operating Force Test – to verify that an opening sash is capable of opening and closing without undue effort.

Air Infiltration Pressure

AS4220.4 Air In filtration Test – the air leakage of a window is tested to ensure energy and acoustic efficiency.

Ultimate Strength Testing

AS4420.6 Ultimate Strength Test – negative and positive wind pressures are applied to the window to at least 1.5 times the design wind pressure to ensure it does not fail in unusual wind conditions.
