Spread across three levels, this new building was added to provide students and teachers with a range of learning facilities. During the build, developers were faced with the challenge of how to provide shade and blockout the afternoon sun, while keeping within the school’s design and layout. The solution – by installing fixed aluminium louvres!

Fixed aluminium louvres provided the perfect solution, with the blades used in the louvres adjustable and allowing users to control the amount of natural light entering the room. The blades can also be adjusted to adapt to harsh weather. It may be hard to believe but installing fixed aluminium louvres contributed to the school’s energy efficiency. This reduced their reliance on artificial heating and cooling with air conditioners and they are now able to efficiently control the building lighting and heating by adjusting the fixed aluminium louvres.

The 100mm x 50mm centre single glazed commercial framing system and CityView sliding windows were also installed for their ability to suit a wide range of environments, especially high traffic school areas. CityView Sliding Stacking doors were installed to compliment the commercial framing systems.
