TNT Towers
Positioned on the edge of Sydney’s CBD, the TNT Towers development brings together luxury residential living, commercial office space and retail amenities within one architecturally striking complex.
Located just moments from Redfern train station, occupants enjoy immediate access to cafes, restaurants, retailers and Sydney University, along with expansive views across the CBD skyline, surrounding parklands and out towards Botany Bay.
The development comprises 162 premium apartments, complemented by commercial office floors and ground-level retail, all designed to maximise light, outlook and long-term functionality.
Architecture Defined by Detail and Performance
Designed by award-winning architect Angelo Candalepas, in collaboration with leading developer and builder Deicorp, the TNT Towers project reflects a strong focus on material quality, spatial experience and architectural precision.
Each apartment features high-end finishes, including SMEG appliances, stone and marble benchtops, and floor-to-ceiling glazing. Darley Aluminium window, door and commercial framing systems were selected to support the design intent while meeting the performance demands of a high-density, mixed-use environment.
Commercial Framing for Retail and Office Spaces
NSW fabricator Style Windows & Doors was appointed to deliver the window and door solutions for the project, recommending a suite of Darley Aluminium commercial framing and CityView systems.
At ground level, the Woolworths Metro supermarket at 1A Lawson Square utilises Darley Aluminium’s 150mm x 50mm front single-glazed commercial framing system. Chosen for its strength, versatility and high-performance capabilities, the framing enhances the modern shopfront aesthetic while maximising natural light in a busy retail setting.
Within the commercial office spaces and building lobby, 100mm x 50mm front single-glazed commercial framing was installed to achieve clean lines and a contemporary finish, seamlessly integrating with Darley Aluminium’s broader commercial window and door systems.
To connect offices with outdoor balconies, CityView Sliding Doors were specified. Tested to Australian Standard AS2047 and designed for frequent use, these doors are ideally suited to high-traffic commercial environments. Powdercoated hardware in Dulux Duratec Surfmist complements the neutral interior palette and framing finishes throughout the offices.
Darley Aluminium commercial framing was also used within the main lobby, combining 100mm centre single-glazed framing with frameless glass to create automatic sliding entry doors that balance transparency with durability.
Residential Apartments Designed for Comfort and Acoustic Performance
For the residential apartments, Style Windows & Doors selected Darley Aluminium systems that would enhance indoor–outdoor living while addressing the project’s acoustic requirements.
With the building located close to Redfern train station, sound reduction was a critical consideration. CityView Architectural Sliding Doors, offering an acoustic rating of Rw35, were installed to minimise external noise while maintaining uninterrupted views.
Capable of reaching panel heights up to 3200mm and weights of 200kg, the CityView Architectural Sliding Door system is ideally suited to large spans and floor-to-ceiling configurations, delivering both visual impact and performance.
Bedrooms feature CityView 50mm heavy-duty awning windows, providing excellent sealing, controlled ventilation and effective noise reduction. Multiple opening mechanisms are available, including friction stays, cam handles and chain winders, with options to meet fall height requirements under the National Construction Code (NCC).
